The revised pricing structure affects various other countries, including Denmark, Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

YouTube has stated that the rationale for this increase is to enhance its Premium services and provide better support for artists and creators. Last month, YouTube also raised rates for its individual, family, and student plans in India, reflecting a global strategy to adjust pricing.

In India, the individual plan price has been boosted from ₹129 to ₹149 per month, while the family plan now stands at ₹299 per month—up from ₹189. This plan allows access for up to five users. Additionally, the student plan has shifted from ₹79 to ₹89 per month.
