vishal dadlani quits indian idol as a judge

Musician Vishal Dadlani, who was a beloved judge on Indian Idol for 6 seasons, said goodbye to the stage as a judge after 6 seasons. After season 18 ended with Manasi Goash as the winner, Vishal shared on his social media that his journey on Indian Idol had ended and that he would return to making music soon.

Vishal Dadlani’s Message On Social Media

The musician shared a video of his co-judges, Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah, and attached a long, heartfelt note. The note included his feelings of gratitude, reasons for his departure, and his plans ahead. The video clip showed him, Shreya, and Badsha having fun while recording the video; the text above said, That’s all I have to say, people! Tonight marks my final Indian Idol program as a judge after six consecutive seasons. As much as I will miss the show, I hope it will miss me too. Thank you to the entire production team, Vilas, Pakya, Kaushik (Pinky), Badshah, Adi, Aradhana, Chitra, Anand ji, Sonal, Pratibha, Sahil, Saloni, Muskaan, Abisha, and all of the co-judges, singers, and musicians over the years! Vishal Dadlani’s Goodbye and Thank You Note

The accompanying note was long, showing how difficult the decision could have been for the musician. Vishal began the note by declaring his goodbyes and saying he’ll miss the stage more than the fun he had in the 6 seasons. Vishal shared that he received more love than he asked for and that he would always be grateful for the Idol’s stage and family.

Finally, revealing why, Vishal expressed his gratitude to his co-judges and the production team. He wrote that he’s only leaving to make more music. Leaving his career every year for one season of Indian Idol kept him from his singing and composition career, concerts, and brainstorming new beats. He said this is the only reason he’s departing from Indian Idol.

In his thank you note, Vishal mentioned all the co-judges he worked with, the live music band, the lighting crew, and the cleaning and maintenance. He ended the message on a high: “Time to get back to making music, playing concerts, and never putting on make-up! It’s #VishalAndSheykhar season!! Jai ho!”
