Overview of the Recent Market Trends

Last week, the Indian stock market showcased significant growth, particularly reflected in the performance of the BSE Sensex, which soared by 1,027.54 points or 1.21%. On September 27, the Sensex reached an impressive all-time high of 85,978.25 points. This bullish sentiment contributed to a collective market capitalization increase of Rs 1,21,270.83 crore for eight of the top ten most valuable companies in the Sensex.

Key Gainers on the Sensex

Among the prominent gainers, Reliance Industries led the pack with a significant rise in market capitalization, which increased by Rs 53,652.92 crore, bringing its total market cap to Rs 20,65,197.60 crore. Other notable gainers included:

In contrast to the upward trend, two companies faced declines in their market capitalization during the same period. ICICI Bank saw a decrease of Rs 23,706.16 crore, bringing its total market cap to Rs 9,20,520.72 crore. Similarly, Hindustan Unilever’s market cap fell by Rs 3,195.44 crore, now totaling Rs 6,96,888.77 crore.
