Today, on 4th April 2025, Tata Consultancy Services or TCS Share Price suffered a 3.5% fall in its share prices. The stock drop is an indirect impact of the US introducing 27% tariffs on imports.

The US has declared a 10% base tariff on imports from all countries and an additional 27% on imports from a few Indian sectors. These sectors include gems, processed foods, chemicals and electronics. Although the IT sector isn’t on the list, it will have an indirect impact due to its clientele base. Most IT companies in India cater to the US, and the imminent changes in client expenditure will also impact IT firms.
