The film was made with a budget of 200 crores, which makes fans and critics more impatient to see Sikander’s collections and theatre journey. Advance bookings for Sikander are going strong. The first day of advance bookings closed with 2.19 crores from places across the country.

Written by Murali Gopy and directed and co-acted by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan is the second part of the Lucifer trilogy. The movie shows us the past of the protagonist, Steven Nedumpally, against an ominous political thriller. The film was jointly produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas, Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies, and A. Subaskaran from Lyca Productions.
The movie was made with a budget of 180 crores. With the record of ‘highest pre-sale booking of Malayalam films’ Empuraan closed its advance bookings at 85 crores. 49 crores flushed in from international theatres while Indian theatres fetched 36 crores. Sachnilk already reported that Empuraan’s box office collection crossed 7 crores.
