‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ movie has started making headlines for the past few days. Yes, it’s the same movie that was released back in 2016. Directed by Radhika Rao and Vijay Sapru, this movie casts Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. When the movie was released in cinemas on 5th February 2016, it didn’t perform well at the box office. Later it became popular on OTT. Now in 2025 after huge demand by fans, it has been re-released in theaters on 7th February 2025.

As per reports the movie has already collected more than 9 crores as of today. This means the rerelease is successful as it made Rs 9 Crore on Day 2. You will be shocked to hear more than 67,000 tickets were pre-booked just before the release date. Experts suggest it could have more potential as the upcoming week is Valentine’s week.

There are many bollywood movies that were re-released later like – Emergency, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Badass Ravi Kumar, Fateh, etc. But this movie broke all the previous records on the opening day of its re-release Sanam Teri Kasam sold 152K tickets which is the second highest after Sky Force.
Storyline
The movie is based on a love story, where Inder is a lone wolf trapped in an unfulfilling romantic relationship. On the other hand, Saru is a nerdy librarian who has already faced too many rejections. But somehow they both cross paths and fall in love with each other.

Viewers are satisfied with the love story. The film has shown the pain of one-sided love or the pain of not getting married. Also, some of the viewers are angry because it was the sequel, and after watching they realised it’s the old movie. This is all because Sanam Teri Kasam 2 has also been announced.
