PM Modi’s ₹83,700 Crore Schemes Amid Declining Hindu Population in Jharkhand

Prime Minister Modi’s Vision for Jharkhand: Development and Security

On October 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of development projects worth over Rs 83,700 crore in Jharkhand. During a public meeting, he addressed the critical issue of the decreasing population of Hindus and tribals in the state. Modi accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress of engaging in vote bank politics, emphasizing that their support for infiltrators threatens the state’s identity, culture, and heritage.

Allegations Against the JMM and Congress

According to the Prime Minister, the JMM-led government has been providing protection to infiltrators, which he claims has adverse effects on the local demographics. “The Congress seeks to undermine the rights of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC),” he stated, assuring the audience that no one could snatch away these rights under his watch. Modi further criticized the JMM for ignoring tribal symbols and erasing their identity in pursuit of political gains.

Call for Change in Jharkhand

Modi highlighted the pressing need for change in Jharkhand to protect what he referred to as ‘Beti, Mati, Roti’—the interests of women, land, and food—while also addressing rampant corruption in the state. He lamented that land transactions are governed by middlemen and emphasized that even government land is not secure from exploitation.

Promises and Progress

During his speech, Modi remarked that the JMM’s recent promises are mere attempts to mislead the public ahead of elections, reminding the audience of unmet commitments such as unemployment allowances for the youth. He urged the people of Jharkhand to be cautious and not fall for these false promises.

The BJP’s Commitment to Development

The Prime Minister assured that once a BJP-led government is established in Jharkhand, it would prioritize the security and welfare of the people. He expressed his disappointment that the JMM has succumbed to the influence of Congress and RJD, transforming from its original ideals and becoming a significant barrier to the state’s development.

Historical Context and Tribal Recognition

Modi emphasized the importance of recognizing the contributions of tribal communities to India’s freedom struggle and criticized the Congress for ignoring their legacy. He declared that the BJP is committed to celebrating tribal heroes and fostering their development, citing initiatives like the Tribal Pride Day in honor of Lord Birsa Munda.

Conclusion

PM Modi concluded his speech by stressing the detrimental impact of vote bank politics on the tribal populations in areas like Santhal Pargana. He called for unity among the people of Jharkhand to counteract the threats posed by these political maneuvers, foreseeing a future where the security and identity of the state’s diverse communities are safeguarded.
