Known for his candid opinions and straightforward remarks, Khanna often expresses his thoughts on various aspects of the industry. Recently, he has made headlines once again by sharing his unfiltered views about popular comedian and actor, Kapil Sharma, and his show.
Mukesh Khanna’s Concerns about Kapil Sharma’s Show
In a recent interview with Bollywood Thikana, Mukesh Khanna made his feelings clear, calling Kapil Sharma’s show ‘obscene’. He stated, ‘I do not like Bigg Boss and The Kapil Sharma Show because they show vulgarity, but I do not deny that Kapil is a great entertainer. There is no doubt about this.’ He emphasized that his views do not align with the content presented on the show, stating, ‘I do not say that I am anti-Kapil, but my ideas do not match with his. He may be nice as a person, but I don’t feel comfortable with him.’
Khanna recounted a specific incident that triggered his anger. He mentioned a skit from Comedy Circus where Kapil wore a costume resembling Shaktimaan while performing alongside a female co-star with a bed props, which he found disrespectful to the character that he helped create. He expressed his deep frustration, saying, ‘We have created that character, and we know what his values are. You are making fun of such a good character for comedy.’ Despite being aware of the skit beforehand, Kapil proceeded to use it, which did not sit well with Khanna. It’s noteworthy that Khanna had previously declined an offer to appear on Bigg Boss and has not participated in Kapil’s show either.
