Storyline
Maalik (2025) is about Deepak, a farmer’s son from Allahabad. After his father is hurt by criminals, Deepak takes revenge and gets pulled into the world of crime. Soon he became powerful enough, but in the process he lost part of himself. Dragged and torn apart between love for his wife, his own choices, and a cop chasing after him, he learns the lesson that power always comes at a price.
Maalik Faces Competition
The movie is currently facing competition from newly released movies like Saiyaara. Viewers are more likely to enjoy the music love story rather than Rajkummar Rao’s action thriller. This has led to a fall in revenue, and total collections are way behind expectations.
OTT Release Date
Many people are still waiting for the movie to appear on OTT Platforms. Well, the good news is it’s coming very soon. Maalik will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Though the official release date is not confirmed yet. But it is likely to come somewhere between August 22 19th and September.
Ratings on Different Platforms
As of 21st July, Maalik movie has a rating of 7.4 out of 10 on the movie review website IMDb, with more than 8K reviews. On the other hand, it secured a 7.9 rating out of 10 on the movie ticket selling website Book My Show, with more than 14K votes.
