The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre happened on 13th April 1919. A large number of people gathered at Punjab’s Jalllianwala Bagh to protest against the Rowlatt Act and the arrest of Pro-India Activists Saifuddin and Satyapal.
But in the public gathering, REH Dyer surrounded the people with Gurkha and Sikh infantry regiments and ordered them to shoot. This led to the killing of thousands and hundreds injured.
