Sony TV’s new promo revealed that Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is returning as KBC’s host. The 17th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati’s registrations will begin from 14th April. The last season, which began in August 2024, ended on 11th March. And just 24 days later, KBC hot-seat is back on TV again.
KBC New Promo
The new promo opens with Amitabh Bachchan lying down with a stomach ache. When a doctor enters the room, he asks if Amitabh Bachchan has eaten any junk (chatar-patar) outside. Bachchan ji says no, and the doctor suspects he’s hiding something inside his stomach. Upon prompting, with a childish and cute tone, Amitabh ji says that he’s been hiding the date of KBC 17 registrations. The promo then finally reveals that registrations will begin from 14th April.
The caption reads, “Taiyyar ho jaye 14th April se hot seat par aane ke liye. KBC ke registration aur humare AB ke sawaal shuru hone hi wale hain. (Get ready to get on to the hot seat from 14th April. KBC’s registrations and my questions will begin soon).”
Once the registrations are done, qualifying rounds and auditions will begin. After that, videos about the contestants’ and the final participants’ journeys will be made. The episodes of season 17 may begin in August.

Public Reaction To The Promo
People and fans loved the new promo and the idea used to launch the new season. One person wrote, “This is so good.” and “A great show, KBC!” As much as the excitement is wrapping around, people are puzzled. Netizens began wondering why KBC is back so soon. When the last season ended just days ago. One person wrote, “Abhi to khel kar first hi huyi this dobara shuru (We were just done with the game, and now it’s back)” Another said, “Another said, “Kitna KBC khilaoge.. Abhi to khatam kia tha lasf season (How much KBC will we be played? The last season just ended.)” Regardless of the distance between the two seasons, the overall enthusiasm and eagerness are intact.
