The couple, who first met and tied the knot during the show’s inaugural season in 2014, welcomed their new additions, Tyler Hehner and Huxley James Hehner, on September 18 in Sarasota, Florida. Tyler made his grand entrance first at 6:05 PM, weighing in at a sturdy 6 lbs. 4 oz., followed by his brother Huxley just three minutes later, tipping the scales at 6 lbs. 8 oz.
Growing Family: The Hehners’ Journey
With the arrival of their twin boys, the Hehner family now consists of six members. They are joined by their daughter, Henley Grace, who is 7 years old, and their son, Hendrix Douglas, aged 4. This joyful expansion comes after a challenging journey for Jamie and Doug as they navigated through fertility struggles.
Before welcoming Henley and Hendrix, the couple faced heartbreaking losses, including the loss of their first child, Jonathan Edward, at 17 weeks in 2016, and two additional pregnancies that did not come to fruition. In February of this year, Jamie and Doug joyfully announced they were expecting again, sharing the news that would ultimately lead to their recent blessings.
A Message of Hope and Gratitude
In her heartfelt announcement about her pregnancy, Jamie expressed overwhelming joy and gratitude on Instagram, stating, “I’M FINALLY PREGNANT!!! I wanna scream it from the rooftops.” She went on to thank God for what she described as the greatest blessing since experiencing the loss of their previous pregnancies. Jamie also offered words of encouragement to those facing infertility or secondary infertility, reminding them to not lose hope despite the challenges they may endure.
