Grand Theft Auto VI, or GTA VI, has been on the fans’ wishlist for nearly two years. Before an official update or a trailer, a Swiss retailer posted prices of the games online, and fans’ uproar came before the retailer could take the post down.
GTA VI Leaked Prices
The delay in launching the game has become a meme in the gaming community and a comment under every unexpected social media post: “We got *this* before GTA VI!
And now, before anything else, the prices have leaked. According to the post, the GTA VI exceeds the expected cost. $114.99 in the US, £99.99 in the UK and €104.99 in Europe. It is roughly around Rs 9,300. Authorities from the maker, Rockstar Games, and its parent company, Two Time Interactive, have neither confirmed nor denied these leaks yet. Their delay in reacting to these is only causing fans more panic because GTA VI will be the most expensive standard edition mainstream video game if the leaks are true.
Why is GTA VI So Expensive?
There could be various reasons for GTA VI to be unnaturally high; however, the most popular theory right now is Trump and the tariffs. Gamers and fans believe that the US administration’s tariffs are so severe that they also affect video game players. Gaming imports may not be spared if Trump wins again. Although this is a popular belief, nothing is confirmed yet. So gamers need not panic too much for the time being.
GTA VI Launch and New Features
Gamers and fans expect GTA VI to be out soon after Borderlands 4 in September. They expect the console version to launch before the PC’s.
The first-ever female lead in the franchise will be one of the two main characters in the next Grand Theft Auto video game. It will be set in Leonida, a made-up version of Florida that features Vice City and other locations like cities, beaches, and swamps. The map will be the biggest one yet, and the game will have better graphics, enhanced animations, and smarter AI. Even the police system will be upgraded.
