Gunaratna Sadavarte, a contestant on ‘Bigg Boss 18’, has made alarming claims about receiving a threatening phone call from Karachi, Pakistan, shortly after his participation was announced. He alleges this call was linked to the underworld, with connections to notorious crime lord Dawood Ibrahim.
Threatening Call from Karachi
Gunaratna revealed, “There are times in your life when sorrow prevails. To give you an update from just yesterday: The news of my entry into the show wasnโt supposed to leak. However, when it became known that I had arrived, I received a threatening call from Karachi at exactly 8:30 PM.” He argued that if he had passed this call directly to the appropriate authorities, an FIR would have been filed even before the show’s commencement. He mentioned the name of the infamous underworld figure, Dawood Ibrahim, during his recounting, although some details of his statement were muted, leaving listeners curious about his full disclosure.
Enduring Great Hardships
In a further elaboration of his struggles, Gunaratna shared, “I have endured significant hardships. I was incarcerated and even faced a predetermined encounter. There was an RSS member who was a physician in jail, and he assisted me during a critical time. I requested him to keep me in detention long enough to miss my court hearing.” He also mentioned his associations with other prominent figures like Kangana Ranaut and Arnab Goswami, stating, “All three of us have faced significant challenges in our careers.”
Police Investigation Underway
Concerned for her husband’s safety, Gunaratna’s wife contacted the Bhoiwada police, informing them about the death threats he received via phone. In response, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Preliminary findings revealed that the caller identified himself as ‘Rahil’, prompting further inquiries into the threats and their implications.
