Coolie Movie Review
Rajnikanth’s latest film Coolie is about a hero who helps people and fights against the bad guys. The story is a bit overwhelming as too many characters are involved and so many subplots are there. But the charisma of Rajnikanth has worked like a charm again. According to the viewers, the first half is a bit slow-paced, whereas the second half comes with twist after twist. All in all, it’s a fun to watch action thriller with a predictable storyline.
Casting Fees
According to reports, Rajnikanth has taken Rs 200 crores for his acting fees. Though there is a twist, the initial fee was Rs 150 cr, but as advance bookings broke records, Rs 50 cr was added to the fees. Amir Khan can also be seen in the movie in a cameo, and he charged Rs 20 crore for that. Nagarjuna Akkineni got Rs 10 Crores, and Satyaraj got Rs 5 crores. Shruti Haasan was paid Rs 4 crores, and Pooja Hegde was paid Rs 3 crores for her special appearance in the song.
Ratings of Different Platforms
Rajnikanth’s film Coolie has got a 6.5 star rating on the movie rating platform IMDb, with more than 7.5K ratings. On the other hand, it secured a solid 8.6 stars out of 10 on the movie ticket booking platform Book My Show, with more than 9K votes. Lastly, it has a 3.5 rating out of 5 according to TOI.
Coolie OTT Release
As per the report, the film Coolie: The Powerhouse has sold its digital streaming rights to Amazon Prime Video for Rs 120 crores. So, users can watch it on Amazon Prime Video once it is released. Reports also say the movie is under an agreement that it will release on OTT after 8 weeks of release. Thus, it might release after 9th October on OTT.
