How he became ‘The Sleeping Prince’

Prince Alwaled was full of life. Back in 2005, he was only 15 and studying at a military college in the United Kingdom. There he met with a traffic car accident and he got serious brain injuries and internal bleeding. Since then, he slipped into a coma and never woke up. For the past 20 years, he has been in a coma at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh.

The Sleeping Prince was born into a Saudi royal family. He was the eldest son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud. The news of his death has spread through the world. The Global Imams Council also sent a formal condolence message to the family and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Farewell to ‘Sleeping Prince’ Alwaleed bin Khaled bin Talal

Funeral prayers for the sleeping prince is set to happen at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh after the Asr prayer in line with Saudi traditions on 20th July. For women, the prayer will be at King Faisal Specialist Hospital after the Dhuhr prayer.
