Today 14th March whole of India is celebrating the Festival of Colors Holi. For this reason, the Indian Stock Market is declared closed today or on Holiday. This impacts trading activities across all major exchanges.
Stock Market Closed on Holi
The National Stock Exchange or NSE and The Bombay Stock Exchange or BSE have announced all trading will remain closed on Friday, 14th March. This closure is a part of scheduled Stock Market Holiday. This decision will include Equity, Equity Derivative, SLB, Currency Segments, NDS-RST and Tri Party Repo.
Impact on Trading
As the stock market is closed today investors and traders have to wait till Monday 17th march for next trade. As Saturday and Sunday will be holiday too. Already the market is under pressure due to global economic uncertainties and constant selling by foreign investors.
Commodity Market
Though the stock market is closed today Multi Commodity Exchange will be operating in a split schedule. The morning session will start at 9 am and close at 5 pm. The next half will start at 5 pm and close at 11.30 pm.
