PM Modi is set to release the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme today (24th February 2025) in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a scheme designed to financially help farmers. More than 10 crore farmers and farmer families are beneficiaries of this scheme. PM-Kisan helps agriculture-practicing families by crediting ₹6000 every year directly into their bank accounts. More than 10 crore farmers and farmer families are beneficiaries of this scheme.
The farmers or their families (wives and minor children) receive ₹2000 once every four months. And today marks the 19th such installment. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Union Agriculture Minister, said that ₹22,000 crores will be disbursed in this installment.
Check your PM-Kisan beneficiary status
- Visit the official website of PM-Kisan: https://pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’
- Enter the Adhaar Card or account number.
- Click ‘Get Data’
Before that, ensure the eKYC process is completed. A farmer can choose any of the three modes available to complete the process.
- OTP-based e-KYC, which is accessible through the PM-Kisan Portal and Mobile App).
- The biometric-based e-KYC is available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra (SSKs).
- The Face authentication-based e-KYC, which is available on the PM Kisan Mobile App.
Surrender PM-Kisan benefits:
- Scroll to the bottom of the website.
- Click on the ‘Voluntary Surrender on PM Kisan benefits’ tab.
- Receive OTP after entering registration and the captcha code.
- Confirm the voluntary surrender by clicking on ‘Yes’ and entering the OTP.
The farmers must bear in mind that once they surrender from the scheme, they will no longer be able to re-apply or be eligible for PM-Kisan again.
Farmers are not eligible:
- The farmer families fall under the category of present or past holders of constitutional posts.
- Political leaders or representatives.
- Serving or retired central government employees.
- If the farmer is receiving a pension of ₹10,000 or more.
- Farmers who cleared their income tax in the previous assessment year.
