The third and final match of the T20 series between India and Bangladesh is currently taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In a significant turn of events, Team India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, won the toss and opted to bat first. However, there’s concerning news surrounding the team as one of their players has faced a sudden health setback, leading him to miss the field for this critical match.
Health Concerns for Team India Player
As the match unfolds, an important update has emerged regarding Harshit Rana, a young fast bowler for Team India. His health has taken a downturn due to a viral infection, which unfortunately prevented him from joining his teammates at the stadium for the last match of the series. Harshit Rana, who has been included in the squad for several recent series, is yet to make his international debut. Many fans had anticipated he would seize the opportunity to play in this match; however, he has been sidelined due to his illness.

Uncapped Status of Harshit Rana
Due to this unfortunate turn of events, Harshit Rana remains uncapped for the time being. Since he has not played in any international matches yet, his debut seems unlikely before the forthcoming IPL auction. The retention rules for the IPL stipulate that all franchises can retain a maximum of six players, including one uncapped player. This means that, despite his current situation, there is a possibility that the Kolkata team will choose to retain him as their uncapped player in the next IPL season, which could be set at the retention cost of ₹4 crore.
