Rannvijay Slams 'Animal': A Call to Embrace Humanity!

The immensely popular youth reality show, Roadies, is set to make a grand return for a new season, and fans are buzzing with excitement. This time, beloved gang leaders Rannvijay Singha and Neha Dhupia are back, marking Rannvijay’s highly anticipated return after a three-year hiatus from the show. As the excitement builds, new promotional videos are being released, adding to the anticipation. In one of these promos, Rannvijay playfully takes a jab at Ranbir Kapoor’s film, Animal.

What Does the Promo Video Entail?

The promo, which can be found on Rannvijay’s Instagram page, begins with a playful scene at a shop. A girl walks in and asks, “Uncle, give me an alpha.” The shopkeeper responds, “Chotu, please show an alpha to madam.” Just then, a character emerges from behind the counter in a look reminiscent of Ranbir Kapoor’s character from Animal. He dramatically shouts, “Papa, Papa, Papa…” to which the shopkeeper advises, “Take it easy, son, take it easy.” The girl interjects, clarifying that she is looking for a well-mannered and respectful person, and not someone with toxic traits. The shopkeeper then insists on fetching the “real one.” Moments later, Rannvijay enters the scene and quips to the actor, “Son, Papa is home.”

‘Be a Human Being, Not an Animal’

Adding to the humor, Rannvijay follows up with a memorable line: “Alfie, beta, I don’t care. Be a human being, not an animal. And if you have the guts, let’s meet at the auditions!” The promo concludes by providing details about the cities and dates for the upcoming auditions, ramping up interest among potential participants.

Reactions from Social Media Users

The response from fans on social media has been overwhelmingly positive. Many users are thrilled to see Rannvijay back in action. However, some have pointed out the humorous takedown of Animal, with comments ranging from playful jabs at the film’s director, Sandeep Vanga, to lighthearted criticism of Ranbir’s portrayal. One user humorously remarked, “No, Sandeep Vanga has been hurt by this,” while another stated, “Sandeep Vanga crying in the corner.” A third user whimsically wondered, “Ranbir is like, why did you wash me?”—suggesting they were taken aback by Rannvijay’s commentary.

Animal’s Reception

Ranbir Singh’s Animal was released in 2023 and, while it faced significant criticism from critics, it managed to perform well at the box office. Following its theatrical release, the film also gained a substantial viewership on Netflix, drawing in audiences intrigued by its controversial themes and performances.
