DDA Extends Deadline for Luxury Flat Final Payments in Dwarka Sector 19B!

Deadline Extension for DDA Flat Payments in Dwarka Sector 19B

Good news has emerged for homebuyers who have purchased flats from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The DDA has officially extended the deadline for the payment of the last installment for over 1,800 premium flats located in Dwarka Sector 19B. Initially set for August 31, the new deadline for settling the final 25 percent of the payment is now September 30. This extension comes at the request of buyers who require additional time to arrange the necessary funds.

Reasons Behind the Extension

The decision to push the deadline was influenced by several factors, including buyers’ requests for more time and the incomplete finishing work on the flats. Many residents have raised concerns about the lack of essential facilities, such as electricity and water connections, main gate access, security personnel, and park amenities. These delays have prompted buyers to express their unease about the potential for further postponement in the transfer of possession.

Concerns Raised by Buyers

Some buyers have reported frustrations regarding the state of their flats. One purchaser, who successfully acquired a 3-BHK flat via e-auction, noted that while he has made full payment, the flat remains uninhabitable due to the absence of key services. “Our intention was to move in during Dussehra or Diwali,” he shared, “but the current situation with electricity and water facilities is disappointing. The security arrangements are still lacking, with access to our complex limited to a side entrance rather than the main gate, which remains unopened.” Such ongoing challenges have led some buyers to believe that the anticipated moving date may be delayed well beyond this year.

DDA’s Housing Scheme Overview

In the backdrop of these issues, registrations for the DDA’s Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024 commenced on August 21. This scheme encompasses an e-auction for 173 residential units, targeting middle-income group (MIG) and high-income group (HIG) buyers, as well as penthouse options. The flats are situated in various sectors, including 14, 16B, and 19B.

Conclusion

The DDA’s response to buyer feedback highlights the ongoing challenges faced by homebuyers in Dwarka. As the deadline for payments is pushed back, prospective residents hope for quicker completion of essential services to enable them to fully enjoy their new homes. It remains crucial for DDA to address these concerns adequately to ensure a smooth transition for flat owners.
