Haryana Elections: BJP Drops 2 Ministers, 5 MLAs in Latest Ticket Cuts!

Haryana Assembly Elections Announced: Key Developments

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially announced that the Haryana assembly elections will take place on October 5. In a strategic move to strengthen its position ahead of the elections, the party released its second list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, which includes 21 names and sees the replacement of seven sitting MLAs, including two current ministers. This decision aims to mitigate the effects of the anti-incumbency sentiment that has been building among voters.

Changes in Candidates and Strategy

In an effort to rejuvenate its image, the BJP has made significant changes to its candidate lineup. The party has decided to replace 15 of its 40 sitting MLAs, which accounts for over 37% of its incumbents. This change is indicative of the party’s desire to connect with voters by introducing fresh faces, as a total of 40 candidates (about 46%) are new to the electoral race this time, out of the 87 seats declared thus far.
