Why Did Advani Retire at 75, But Not Modi? Kejriwal Asks RSS 5 Key Questions!

Arvind Kejriwal’s Allegations Against PM Modi

In a dynamic public meeting held on September 22, 2023, titled ‘Janta Ki Adalat’ at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister of Delhi, leveled serious accusations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He claimed that Modi had orchestrated a conspiracy designed to besmirch the reputations of him and his party colleague, Manish Sisodia, by falsely painting them as corrupt. Kejriwal expressed that the prime minister’s strategy seems to be attacking his integrity as a means to secure political advantage.

Kejriwal’s Tenure and Resignation

Emphasizing his dedication to integrity, Kejriwal asserted that he has managed the Delhi government “honestly” for over ten years. He framed his resignation not as a sign of political ambition or a clinch for power, but as a principled stand against the corruption allegations he faced. According to him, he is driven by a vision to transform the political landscape of India rather than a desire for personal gain. He confirmed plans to vacate the Chief Minister’s official residence soon and noted that even after a decade in political office, he lacks personal accommodation within Delhi.

Questions Directed Towards the RSS

During the rally, Kejriwal directed five pertinent questions at Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which signifies the ideological underpinnings of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His questions addressed key concerns regarding the party’s approach to governance and ethics. Here are the questions raised by Kejriwal:

NoQuestion
1Is it appropriate how Modi is dismantling parties and toppling governments through inducement or intimidation involving agencies like the ED and CBI?
2Do you condone the practice of including corrupt leaders in the BJP, whom Modi himself has labeled corrupt?
3Given the BJP’s origin in the RSS, what responsibilities does the RSS hold in guiding the BJP away from wrongful actions? Has the RSS ever intervened to correct Modi?
4JP Nadda’s announcement that the BJP no longer needs the RSS as guidance is concerning. How do you view such direct opposition from the party towards its foundational organization?
5With Amit Shah stating that the 75-year retirement rule will not apply to Modi, why shouldn’t the same rule apply to Modi as it does to LK Advani?

Kejriwal’s Commitment to Corruption-Free Politics

Kejriwal, who was released on bail from Tihar Jail a few days prior after an extensive period of over five months due to the excise policy case, reiterated his motivations for entering politics. He underscored his goal to serve and improve governance rather than amass power or wealth. He invited the public to judge him based on his record, appealing for support in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. If he is perceived as dishonest, he implored voters to refrain from casting their votes in his favor.

Claiming Integrity Over Wealth

In his address, Kejriwal stated that his political journey has not enriched him financially but has earned him immense respect instead. Reaffirming his commitment, he mentioned that come Navratri, he plans to vacate the official Chief Minister’s residence and will reside among those who offer him shelter. He expressed, “In my life, I have only gained respect. Today, I do not have any house to call my own in Delhi, but I have earned your blessings over the last decade.”
