Tom Cruise’s much-awaited Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning will be released worldwide on the 14th of May at the Cannes Film Festival. The 8th and the longest part of the Mission: Impossible franchise was ready for release on the 23rd of May; however, the makers surprised the fans by changing the date and announcing an early release in India.

Initially, the movie was scheduled to release on the 23rd of May in India; however, to much delight of the franchise’s fans, The Final Reckoning will hit the theatres on the 17th of May in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. The makers shared the postponement with a poster on Instagram. The poster was shared along with a caption, “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning now releases early in India. New date – the 17th of May. Releasing in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu!”

The Final Reckoning was directed by Christopher McQuarrie and produced by the lead actor, Tom Cruise, and the director. The ensemble hosts Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, and Esai Morales, alongside Tom Cruise. Fans who were counting down to the 23rd of May are barely sitting with the buzz of their excitement to watch Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt on the big screen in less than a month.

In addition, it was reported that the film was made on a budget of $400 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever. And, by extension, one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
