Thug Life Banned in Karnataka!
As per reports, the movie faced a loss of nearly Rs 40 crores, due to the bad in Karnataka. It all started at the audio launch, When Haasan opened with an emotional tribute to his Tamil roots, saying, “Uyire Urave Tamizhe,” meaning ‘My life and my family is Tamil’. This tuned Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, and he said, ‘Your language was born out of Tamil. So, you are included in that line.’
Storyline of Thug Life and Its Cast
The story is about Rangaraaya Sakthivel, a legendary Delhi gangster, who takes in young Amaran after a bloody gang war leaves him orphaned. Years later, Sakthivel’s empire is a powder keg of betrayal: his own brother and the now-grown Amaran plot against him convinced by lies and hungry for power. After an epic fall from a cliff and learning martial arts from Tibetan monks, Sakthivel returns, colder and deadlier, to unleash a roaring vendetta.
Thug Life has a powerful cast led by Kamal Haasan as the formidable Rangaraaya Sakthivel, with Silambarasan playing Amaran, his foster son. Trisha Krishnan can be seen as Indhrani, Sakthivel’s mistress, while Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the role of Dr. Anna, Amaran’s sister. Apart from them, Joju George, Nassar, Ali Fazal, and a special dance cameo by Sanya Malhotra can be seen.
