Salman Khan’s Eid special, Sikandar, performed well in its first week but failed to keep up the momentum in the second week. The movie collected its lowest on day 12, with only 0.75 Crores. Pressure from other big-name films like Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan was anticipated. Competition from Sunny Deol’s latest, Jaat, amplified the pressure. Sikandar started struggling to cross a crore in its day collection.

Sikandar earned 26 crores on its first day and 29 crores on the second. The initial days saw impressive collections. However, after just 4 days, the figures descended to single digits and couldn’t recover since.
The second-week collections fell by 134% compared to the first week, and the movie may not rise back up. A few fans and critics did not enjoy the film as expected, as they felt the plotline was weakened by stardom focus and violence. Despite the mixed reviews and a downward graph in the domestic theatres, Sikandar gathered 200 crores from international theatres in 9 days.
Sikander: Storyline
Sikandar is about all the risks a man in love with his wife will take to keep her presence alive. The movie follows Sanjay Rajkot, who loses his wife after a clash with a wicked politician. Before dying, Sanjay’s wife gives up her body for donations and saves three people’s lives. The politician learns about this and knows how much Sanjay loves his wife. To hurt him, the politician begins to hunt down the three innocents who received organs. It is now Sanjay’s responsibility to stop the politician’s wicked ways, thereby protecting what remains of his wife.

Sikander is written and directed by AR Muragdoss, famous for Ghajini. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiawala. Alongside Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in key roles.
