Suriya’s latest action film, Retro, has become the buzz at the box office. On the opening day, it made Rs 19.75 C,r which is similar to Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2. As of now, the movie has crossed Rs 31.48 Crores in total collections. But as the weekend is yet to complete, makers are expecting to hit the Rs 50 Cr mark by Sunday.
Storyline and Cast
Retro is a 2025 Tamil romantic movement gangster drama starring Suriya. The story follows Paarivel “Paari” Kannan, an orphan raised by a gangster, as he faces betrayal, a deadly cult, and fights to reclaim misplaced love. Set within the Nineteen Nineties, the film combines nostalgia, excessive action, and emotional storytelling for a conventional but clean cinematic experience.
The forged of Retro features Suriya in the lead position as Paarivel Kannan. Pooja Hegde plays his love interest, Rukmini, at the same time as Joju George and Jayaram seem in crucial supporting roles. Karunakaran, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Vidhu can also be seen in the movie.
