Retro Box Office Collection: The movie Retro was released on 1st May in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu. Suriya’s movie was expected to become a superhit, but the box office numbers say otherwise. About the Movie Retro & Its Cast
The film follows the story of Paarivel or ‘Paari’, who is an orphan raised by gangsters. But he is trying to leave his violent past behind after getting married to Rukmini, the love of his life. Unfortunately, his past catches up, and his gangster father figure demands stolen goods back, which leads to chaos and Paari’s imprisonment. 5 years later, Paari escapes from jail and sets himself up on a quest to reunite with Rukmini. On the way, he faced many dangerous enemies and a tyrannical regime on an island. How did he get Rukmini back? Well, that’s the reason to watch the movie.
South Superstar Suriya can be seen in the movie playing the character of Paari, and Pooja Hegde is the lead actress opposite him. Apart from them, Jayram, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, and Shriya Saran can be seen in the movie.
When will the Retro Release be on OTT?
As per reports, the film’s digital streaming rights have been sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs 80 Crores. When will netizens be able to watch the movie? It is said to be released in early June 2025.
