The most awaited film awards of the year, The Academy Awards, wrapped with well-deserved talents taking home the golden Oscar award. The 97th Academy Awards is happening in the Dolby Theatres, Los Angeles. The show is hosted by Conan O’Brien for the very first time.

As the night progresses in Hollywood, we see multiple celebrities climbing the stage to hold the award and have their moment. The one category for which massive crowds from all over the world gather before screens is the ‘The Best Film.’ This year, Anora, a 2024 American rom-com movie, won The Best Film. The cast and the makers shared a celebratory moment on stage as the audience erupted in applause.
The writer, director and producer of Anora, Sean Baker, won four Academy Awards, making him the first to win four Oscars in one night. The other categories he won were Best Director, Original Screenplay and Editing.

Best Actors and Actresses of Oscars 2025
The lead actress of Anora, Star Mikey Madison, won Best Actress of the Year. She won this award over nominees Demi Moore (The Substance), Fernanda Torres (I’m Still Here), Karla Sofia Gascon (Emilia Perez), and Cynthia Erivo (Wicked). Adrien Brody bagged the Best Actor for The Brutalist. Other nominees in this category were Ralph Finneas (Conclave), Timothee Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice), and Colman Domingo (Sing Sing).
Winners of Oscar 2025
Other winners of the night are Lol Crawley for Best Cinematography (The Brutalist). Daniel Blumberg won The Best Original Score. The musician had a heartfelt and emotional moment after receiving the award. Ariana Grande’s Wicked earned 10 nominations in different categories and won the Oscars for Costume Design and Production Design. Dune 2 took home the award for Sound and Visual Effects. Zoe Saldana won yet another Supporting Actress award for Emilia Perez. And, the song El Mal won the Best Original Song award.
