As per report, Ram Navami is a very sensitive occasion in West Bengal. On this day large-scale processions are scheduled to happen. More than 20,000 processions are expected this year. This will be a big challenge for the police and governing body to maintain public safety. So, if a high-profile cricket match happens on the same day it will be concerning.
This is the reason Kolkata Police have said, they will not be able to provide enough security for the match. As the match is expected to draw more than 65,000 fans it’s a huge logistical and safety challenge. This is why after keeping all aspects in mind this match location is expected to change.
Impact on KKR’s Match Schedule
The KKR vs LSG match is very significant for fans. As defending champions KKR is aiming to maintain a winning streak in IPL 2025.But this rescheduling might hamper the momentum in the season. The Cricket Association of Bengal has already informed the league organizers about the whole situation and discussions are underway to finalize some alternative plan.
KKR’s IPL 2025 season will begin on 22nd March in a match with Royal Challengers Bangalore or RCB in Bengaluru. Fans are eagerly waiting for the match and also hoping for a reschedule or 6th April match in another venue.
