Fans and movie lovers eagerly waited for Kesari 2 to watch Akshay Kumar as a lawyer fighting for the truth and Madhavan in a unique role- defending the British oppressors. In his last few works, Madhavan has embraced one-of-a-kind roles, showcasing his full potential as an actor.

He is popular in the country for displaying his talent in multiple movie industries and languages. His last movie with Bollywood was Shaitaan, where he played the role of a cult leader controlling hordes of women, leading them to ritual self-sacrifice. The movie made 184.5 Crores worldwide and became one of Madhavan’s best films. His latest, Kesari 2, though slow to reach the standard goalposts, is going strong in theatres.
