Kesari 2 was released on 18th April and had a slow opening day- it collected only 7.75 Cr. The weekend, however, flipped the tale. The movie saw tremendous growth and earned Kesar 2 nearly 31 Crores in total. Saturdays and Sundays allowed people the time to watch the thrilling Courtroom drama that originally took place almost 100 years ago.

Sunday, however, boosted Kesari 2’s growth and earned the movie over 12 Crores. The current net collection of the film stands at 30.14 Crores. According to Sachnilk, today, on day 2, Kesari 2 made 0.03Cr so far. The box office of day 4 will increase as the day progresses.
Fans’ Reaction To Kesari 2
Fans and critics enjoyed watching Kesari 2. Historical events presented on screen by talented actors and impactful dialogues are always a delight, and fans say Kesari 2 left an impression on them.
A fan wrote, “…every shot feels purposeful, often saying more than words could. The thrills are there, especially in the heated courtroom exchanges.” While a few agree with the positives about the cinematography, performance and narrative styles, some feel Kesari 2 could have done a better job.
A comment said, “When the courtroom drama starts, you can clearly see that authenticity is going for a toss, there are filmy elements, a lot of drama and for a long time the narrative follows a same pace, leaving you being a bit restless.”
Another said, “Yes, the film is not totally true to history, a lot of elements are added…drama, heroics, theatrics and filmy elements. But still this attempt from Hindi Cinema can be appreciated!”
About Kesari: Cast and Story
Based on a book written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat called ‘The Case That Shook the Empire,’ Kesari 2 follows a Malayali lawyer, C. Sankaran Nair, who fights the British Empire in the court to bring the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre to light.
