Storyline, Cast & Budget
Kesari Chapter 2 follows Akshay Kumar as barrister C. Sankaran Nair, who investigates the brutal Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Disturbed by the truth, he courageously challenges the British Empire by filing a historic case against General Dyer. Supported by a young lawyer, Nair fights to expose the colonial cover-up and seek justice. The film blends courtroom drama with patriotism, highlighting a powerful, lesser-known chapter in India’s struggle for freedom.
In ‘Kesari 2’ Akshay Kumar can be seen in C. Sankaran Nair’s role. On the opposite side, R. Madhavan, Neville McKinley, can be seen as a British lawyer. Apart from them, Ananya Pandey, Simon Paisley Day, Regina Cassandra, and Alexx O’Nell can be seen in important roles.
As per reports, the movie was made with a budget of Rs 150 Crores. Where Akshay Kumar reportedly took between Rs 60 to Rs 145 crores and also shared profits with the film.
OTT Release Date
Some people are eagerly waiting for the OTT Release of Kesari 2. Well, the movie will be released on the Jiohotstar platform, and the release date is set for 20th June 2025. Reports say, Akshay Kumar’s movie got Rs 105 crore offer for its digital streaming rights.
