Bollywood’s famous choreographer and director cum actress Farah Khan is currently hosting Celebrity MasterChef. The has gained popularity very quickly, as Farah got into legal trouble after her comments. She has made some comments on the show which led to a criminal complaint being filed against her for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
Farah Khan in Legal Trouble
Hindusthani Bhau or Vikas Fhatak has lodged a complaint against Farah Khan for calling Holi a ‘Festival of Chaapris’. A photocopy of the legal notice has been shared on social media and grabbed the attention of many netizens.
What Happened?
Actually on the set of Celebrity MasterChef Farah Khan said, ‘Chaapri logo ka favorite festival hota hai holi’. Here the word ‘Chaapri’ comes with a negative meaning, this is the reason Farah is being slammed over and over in social media these days. Now the matter has escalated to another level after Hindusthani Bhau who was a contestant at Bigg Boss 13 filed a complaint.

As per the report, Hindusthani Bhau has filed a complaint at Khar Police Station and demanded legal action against Farah for making controversial statements. He said, my client believes Farah Khan was disrespectful by making the comment. Also, she has created communal disharmony using the ‘Chhapris’ word. This was highly inappropriate.
FIR Lodged
The complaint copy was shared on the internet. From there we can see FIR was lodged under Indian Penal Code sections 196, 299, 302, and 353. The FIR Statement says, ‘Ms. Farah Khan a well-known Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer has made an offensive remark against the indu festival of Holi. My client and many others in the Hindu Community have been deeply hurt by her statements. We request legal proceedings to be initiated under relevant IPC sections for her irresponsible and inflammatory words’.
Farah Khan’s response
Although the copy of FIR has become viral and the news has spread over the internet Farah Khan has not responded yet. Netizens are still waiting for her response after the FIR. In the meantime, another Bigg Boss 18 participant cum politician Tajinder Bagga called her ‘Shameful’ for the statement.
