Life Insurance Corporation of India is the most trusted insurance company in India. Almost every person in our country has heard its name and prefers to get his first insurance with LIC. It has plans for both Men and Women, which can give good returns in the future. Even the Government of India has started a scheme for women ‘LIC Bima Sakhi’, which has gained popularity in recent days.
LIC Bima Sakhi Scheme
Everyday essential goods are getting more and more expensive. So expenses are high but income has not grown, this is why a good job opportunity is very much needed. To solve this issue LIC Bima Sakhi has been introduced. It will create women’s employment in the insurance sector. Any woman can become a LIC agent under the scheme and became financially independent.
How much can be earned?
Firstly LIC will provide training for those women who are eligible to become an agent. During this 3 years of training period, a monthly stipend of Rs 7000 will be given under LIC Bima Sakhi Scheme. Then in the second year, the stipend will be Rs 6000 and the third-year stipend will be Rs 5000. This means a total of Rs 2,16,000 will be paid during the 3 years of training period. Along with this, there will be incentives for selling insurance policies.
Eligibility for this Scheme?
There are certain requirements for the scheme women need to meet. Those are as follows:
- Women who are applying must be aged between 18 and 70 years
- Applicant must have passed at least 10th Class
- No retired employee of LIC or relatives of current agents can apply for this scheme.
Currently, there are a total 52,511 registrations under this scheme. Where 27,695 women have received their appointment letters, and are ready to sell policies, Also 14,543 women have already started selling policies to earn more.

Interested women can apply both online and offline. If you want to apply offline then you need to visit your nearest LIC Office and get information from there. Or if you want to apply online then you need to visit the official website of LIC, find the application, and fill it up with the proper documentation needed.
