DA Hike: 3% Dearness Allowance Hike Expected for Government Employees! When will announcement Come?

Good news for Central Government Employees who were waiting for an announcement regarding Dearness Allowance. The New AICPI data will come in January. This means DA will be increased accordingly. As per the November 2024 report, AICPI was 144.5 points. It means DA should increase by 3%. So, employees can expect another DA/DR increment.

Although AICPI data suggests Dearness Allowance should increase by 3% and DA should be 56% but government is taking time to finalise their decision. This means either 2% or 3% increment will be given in upcoming days.

As per reports suggest December 2024 price index has changed by 0.5 points which suggests DA Should be 56%. If it gets dropped by 0.6 or more then DA should come down to 55%. This DA revision is very crucial for pensioners, as pension is their main source of Income.

Last time DA was increased in October 2024. The central government announced a 3% DA hike from July. This made current DA at 53% rate. It put some extra cash to help employees with the rising inflation. And now they all are waiting for another increase in DA.
