We’re nearing a month of Chhaava in the theatres, and the movie is still surfing high on its success wave. Chhaava has crossed 700 crores in box office collections worldwide. Chhaava has crossed Animal’s earnings and established itself as Rashmika Mandanna’s second-best at the box office, right after Pushpa Part 1.
Box Office Collection Breakdown
Day 25 did not stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the last week. With less than 7 crores, on the first Monday of week 4, Chhaava bumped into a barrier. However, the collection is expected to rise again with Holi around the corner. According to the movie tracker, Sachnilk, the box office and occupancy numbers stand thus:

- Week 2 Collection- ₹ 180.25 Cr
- Week 3 Collection- ₹ 84.05 Cr
- Day 22 – ₹ 8.75 Cr
- Day 23 – ₹ 16.75 Cr
- Day 24 – ₹ 10.75 Cr
- Day 25- ₹ 6.25 Cr (early estimates)
- Total: ₹ 526.05 Cr
Cities Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Jaipur showed over 10% occupancy, while Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bhopal and Lucknow showed over 9% occupancy.
These numbers are beyond impressive for a movie running in theatres for over 20 days. Acknowledging the success of Chhaava, actor Vicky Kaushal expressed his gratitude on social media; he said, “Thank you for your immense love.”
Rashmika Mandanna’s Highest-Grossing Movies
The South Indian actress is grabbing every opportunity she can and is appearing on the big screen in more than a few movies in a year. Rashmika was the lead actress in several films that defined the trajectory of Indian cinema. For several days after Chhaava’s release, her Pushpa 2 and Animal were her top performers. Last week ended that streak as Chhaava rose to the second position, bringing Animal down to the third.

It is too soon to say whether Chhava will cross Pushpa 2 and let Rashmika Mandanna and Vicky Kaushal share the same title as “Best Yet film.”
About Chhaava
The movie Chhaava is based on a Marathi novel by Shivaji Savant, which is titled the same. It was filmed under the banner of Maddock Films by a well-known director, Lakshman Utekar. Chhaava is the story of the second Maratha Warrior, Chhatrapati Shambaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Chhaava narrates a war lore that had remained hidden in history. The war is between the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and Shambaji Maharaj. The war ensues in the wake of Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahraj’s death.
